I was captivated by the curvaceous silhouettes, lovely finishes, and natural textures of this contemporary classical furniture. "The furniture plant in Sumter, SC closed its doors, sent its men and women home and sought its fortune in a foreign land. The pine planked floors that once hummed with the sounds of craftsmen and machinery were suddenly silent. For weeks, outsiders scoured the plant for things they might salvage - hardware, lumber, furniture carts....Something remained...a presence was left. Bourgeoisie 3d bought key pieces of the machinery and gathered a small nucleus of the craftsman with the common dream of creating a new line of furniture and new hope for this South Carolina community. They named this collection "The SoulDust Collection". I can personally say this line truly has soul.
